| About Us |
The
Funkaar Studios Architect Registration Exam (A.R.E.) Ready Course is typically
an (11) week course designed as a complete preparation package. The
course offers
a step-by-step approach for exam preparation. Sessions are sequenced in a
progressive manner to guide students in the ARE process. This course is ideal
for students seeking steady guidance in passing the exams. Lecture covers
key ARE content and answering strategies. Lectures are note intensive, as a student you will actively takes notes like a traditional classroom environment. With this method, students can walk away with quantifiable education within a set of lecture notes based around a series of line items covering key ARE content. Graphic vignette are taught as a workshop where students actively draw on the computer based on a set routine specific to each vignette. Students are provided
a Study Methodology with Syllabus, exam breakdown, daily study routine, take home mock exam and a recommended timeline for testing. Our recommended timeline for testing encourage concurrently taking the ARE throughout course duration for students who are interest in help with the testing process. The timeline recommends testing for each division after that division is covered in class and prior returning to class for the next division. Students can qualify for FREE online mock exams after completion of Student Evaluation forms after each exam
completed (see link above for details). Graphic Vignettes can be submitted for instructor grading as an additional service (see link above for details) Unlike
other seminar style classes,
ARE READY Course is a
cohesive college-level
type course taught by
a single instructor who
has passed the entire computerized ARE.
Each session covers (1)
exam division. Some division are covered over multiple sessions or parts as needed to cover the material in details.
Please note that you need to bring a PC laptop
to class where indicated (Mac with parallel windows can work
with NCARB Practice Programs). If you experience glitches, try adjusting your screen display setting or reinstall program A laptop is recommended for effective
learning. If you donot own a laptop, try borrowing one from
work, family or friend. It is your responsibility to ensure the software is operational prior to arriving to class, the instructor or TA cannot take class time to provide technical assistance to individual students. Please bring trace, architectural scale
